The response to this is very subjective.
If a beginner, let’s say a child is just starting off, a tutor may begin with basic lines, curves, patterns and then move on to letters.
However, if an adult is wanting to improve their writing, some basic steps might be excluded.
This is a summary of how I structure my beginner’s course -
1. Learn proper grip, posture, and choose a handwriting style.
2. Practice basic strokes like lines, curves, and loops.
3. Individual uppercase and lowercase letters.
4. Form simple words and focus on spacing.
5. Practice short sentences for flow and alignment.
6. Improve speed, legibility, and consistency.
7. Write paragraphs, explore styles, and apply creative techniques.
