After the freedom of information act we should have a easy time finding knowledge, so then why is it so hard to find all the inventions of the peanut by George Washington Carver in a single book?

Because you are asking the wrong question, in the wrong place.

The Internet is the wrong place.

Go to a library that has physical books.

Find the encyclopedias.

Look up George Washington Carver in the most recent version you can find (this will likely be the 2023 version of World Book; they claim they are the last encyclopedia in print, in dead tree form).

For a lark, if you are interested, find a copy of the 1974 version of the book, and look up the Little Boy nuclear weapon; it clearly shows, in the engineering drawing, the crimp-flange that was supposedly “lost knowledge”, where the slug was fired down over the flange, and crimped itself in place. only “rediscovered in the last decade”.

But there it is: in print.
