What are your thoughts on the debate between religion and science? Do you lean more towards one side, and if so, why?

There is no debate between religion and science. Religion is a story with no evidence, you can chose to believe it on faith and promises of a nice afterlife.

Science is able to support it claims with evidence. The only debates are where scientists try to explain how the religious don’t understand the scientific process and what it means to have evidence.

Science has proven that many things that claim to be God’s will are explained by natural forces, like gravity and newtons laws of motion explain how the sun, moon and planets move, how the solar system was formed etc. Meanwhile the religious try to come up with science like stories like intelligent design, but this just doesn’t stand up against real science.

Science does not disprove God but it disproves God as the reason for many things. We don’t understand everything in the universe, like where it came from and what caused the big bang, however this is not evidence that God did it. This is the God of gaps theory, not knowing is not evidence of God.

Science is a way of determining the truth robustly, but also correcting and/or improving accuracy over time.
