Is this sentence correct, “Her passing was moving”?

Are you referring to her having died? Passing has a few meanings, so in this sentence it’s a bit difficult to construe your meaning. If it’s about her having passed away you might say, instead, “I was moved by her passing.” Better yet would be, “I was moved by her death.”
