I forget who I’m stealing this observation from, but there’s a lot of truth to it: “It’s not hard to deal with people we don’t like. It’s VERY hard to deal with people who don’t like US!”
The best advice I can give is: first, be very SURE that your intelligence really is the reason other people dislike you. That might not be the reason at all. You may be giving people plenty of other reasons to hate you. Check yourself BEFORE you blame others.
But IF it really is the case that people resent you for your intelligence, the answer is frequently as simple as “Be nicer. Be more patient. Don’t be Sheldon Cooper.” Observe your own tendencies, and do some honest self-appraisal. Do you (knowingly or unknowingly) treat other people as if they’re idiots? Do you make them feel stupid? DON’T DO THAT!
