Can anyone become an author, especially a novelist, and write books without any experience or qualifications?

You don’t need any experience or qualifications.

But the trick is that you actually have to write the novel which will be published and sell. You actually have to COMPLETE these 5 steps, rather than just 2 or 3 of them.

Write the novel first, and don’t go over 100,000 words

2. Edit the novel so that it’s “virtually” ready for publication.

3. Find a literary agent and read what they’re specifications are, and determine what they want you to submit and what wordcount is acceptable

4. Write a query letter to the agent, and submit the letter with whatever else they ask for

5. Keep repeating steps 3 and 4
