How do I improve my general knowledge?

People bother a lot for their general knowledge and read random books or listen some random youtubers who are not even reliable sometimes, The most simple and easy way which I learnt about improving general knowledge from my personal experience is doing only two things-

1- Read NCERT books- you should try to read ncert books from class 6–12th even if your background is not in arts if you read even one chapter in a day it won't take very long time to complete the books and the best thing is you will learn everyday and from a most reliable source, the stories are designed in a very interesting way so it will be fun to read as well. And if you sit for any general exam in future you will definitely get the questions from here even in the exams like UPSC questions are directly asked from ncert.

2- Read any reliable newspaper - it will keep you updated from everything happening around you so pick any good newspaper and read everyday in your free time.And it also gives a new perspective to think about the issues you won't be biased about any news because you will have both the views.

Still if you want any shortcut then go for reading Lucent book or any common GK book it will give you knowledge but it won't be broad.
