How about filling out your Quora profile first? You’re asking a serious question but you don’t offer anything about who you are, where you are, what business you’re in … don’t you think some basic information night help somebody answer that question? What country, what industry? If you don’t bother with the basics, why would a person take the time to answer.
Take an hour or two to learn the basics of how investment in startups and/or small business works in your country and your industry. Do a web search. Investment situations differ by country and by industry. Don’t ask Quora people to take you from absolute zero and give you a complete picture; it would take a book. If you are in the U.S. or Western Europe search for “angel investment groups near me” and see what turns up.
Especially if you are in the US or Western Europe, get and browse ‘The Art of the Start’ by Guy Kawasaki.
Use this basic research to evaluate your situation with investors, to specifically study whether your business is a good candidate. Google “what do investors want from startups” and read or browse the many articles there.
