I want to write a nice poem, but I don't know what to write about. What is some advice?

Writing a poem can be inspired by many things. Consider drawing inspiration from your personal experiences, emotions, nature, relationships, or even abstract concepts like love, hope, or resilience.

Usually when I’m having a hard time coming up with something to write I journal so maybe reflecting on your day or asking yourself questions like what moves you deeply? or what you feel passionate about? Will help you. . Sometimes I will also try to find simple prompts online that give me a template or idea for something to write about. It also challenges you to allow yourself to explore different themes and ideas until you find one that resonates with you deeply.

It may also help to try following another poets structure and rhyme scheme as a template for your own poem. That’s part of how I learn to write poetry when I first started and it really helps.
