Accountability. Being held accountable for your actions or inactions & those of others, forces you to take responsibility. If you refuse or fail to do so, there is a consequence & that consequence is rarely ever fun.
Working together as a team. Once you are forced to work together towards a common goal as the collective, you couldn’t care less about a person’s skin color, religion, their political leaning or if they’re gay or straight, because it really doesn’t matter.
Organization. Keeping things organized & tidy helps with ensuring that you have more time to focus on other priorities & ensures you are ready for different challenges. Knowing where your gear is staged, makes it easier to get put on & out the door.
Respect. Learning to respect others is vital. You learn to respect authority & your peers.
Physical training. This speaks for itself, as America has an obesity problem.
Gun safety. Learning how to use, clean & take care of your weapon.
Time management. Everything in the military is scheduled & structured.
