Has anyone who has worked on a film set ever been amazed by the skill of a particular actor?

Sir Michael Caine was famously awe-struck by Heath Ledger's Joker on set of “The Dark Knight".

The scene where Joker crashes the party was Caine's first day on the set and the first time seeing Ledger as Joker. He had no idea what was coming.

His exact words are: “When the bloody door opened on that lift, he came tearing out. I forgot every line. Terrifying.”

Caine himself won two Academy Awards. I can imagine it can be quite difficult to impress such a legend. We have truly lost an amazing actor and human being with the tragic passing of Heath Ledger.
