What are some running tips?

Running as a fitness activity is a great choice.

Some tips that I can offer:

When you start, start slow. Best is to walk more and jog less.

Unlike walking, running can be intense. So, you will need a good pair of running shoes.

Use an armband to carry your devices like mobile etc.

Have a plan in place. Suppose your target is to run 3 kms 30 minutes. Think and develop a plan to do this.

For example, first target to run 30 minutes in slow pace. Or divide 30 minutes, like you walk for 2 minutes then try and achieve your target of 1 km in the next 10 minutes.

Any fitness regime, will require you to work on your nutrition.

Nutritional food is the basic building block of continuing with any exercise plan.

Don’t compromise on your sleep. 7 to 9 hours of sleep is a must.

Don’t go hard on yourself. Have rest days in your plan.

Lastly, track your progress. You can do it on your phone, watch, or even with a simple planner which are available as a printable or as an editable pdf.
