I would say discipline would be the first step, you need to have a strong mental attitude by training your body and mind. I wake up at 5 AM and do 60 pushups and 1 hour jog before I go to work. Create a good habit for yourself everyday no matter how hard it is just do it.
The second step is managing your time. Think about what you are going to do when your alarm goes off and you get ready for work and before you go to bed. Keep yourself busy even on weekends, I usually workout on weekends doing cardio in the morning , reading a book or doing research at home, find something to do everyday time is money and valuable so don’t waste it.
The third step is motivation, what makes you passionate in life? are you pushing yourself at work to move up the ladder? do you strive to achieve your goals no matter how difficult they can be? Many people just quit because they are not hungry to get somewhere far! You have to be willing to do anything even working overtime, do you challenge yourself to do better? Think about that
The fourth and last step is changing yourself which is the hardest thing you must do. Run the extra mile and get rid of people who hold you back, do it for you and not anybody else. By changing yourself and your old ways you are on the right progress! you are moving on the path of success. You must learn new things, try new things even if you don’t like it.
