What is something you will never understand?

Reservation.

Our constitution calls it equality.

Let's take an easy example of UPSC.

Suppose, you and one of your friends gave the UPSC exam.

You both are from similar financial background.

You are from General category and your friend is from ST (Scheduled Tribe).

You both aim for the post of IAS.

Results came.

You got AIR 78 and your friend got AIR 547.

You became IPS and your friend became IAS.

Now, is that fair?

You both have similar financial situation. Neither of you are rich or poor than the other.

Now, some people from OBC (Other Background Castes), SC (Scheduled Caste) & ST (Scheduled Tribe) will say,

YoUr aNceStorS dIsCriMinAtEd oUr anCeStors!

Bro, you do realise that you're talking about something that you haven't suffered from. It's not even something that we have done. It was our ancestors.

The real reason why reservation was made was to ensure that lowers caste are not marginalized or left behind not to punish the youth of our nations for the acts of their ancestors.

Now, some people will say,

BUt wE DeSeRve REseRvAtIon!

Just because some of you are unable to access essential facilities to get educated?

Nah that's not how things actually work.

Not everyone from lower caste deserve reservation. Some are already rich but still they take profits they don't need.

Reservation is not just injustice but also a harm towards the administration of our nation.

Giving low-rankers the power of IAS Officer who manages the world’s most complex democracy is a wrong decision.

People with less knowledge get this post and make wrong decisions which eventually leads to the malfunctioning of the nation’s administration.

According to my knowledge, currently our respected Prime Minister is from OBC category. While, our president is from ST category.

So, I don't think these two respected powers will ever think about the consequences of reservation.

I respect every category. I am myself a general-category student. I don't hate reservation. But I believe if it's about providing facilities to the lower-castes (or OBC/SC/ST) it can give given by financial support instead of reservation.

At last, we are all Indians bond together to form a society where everyone is treated respectfully and equally.
