Why is it important for an idea to be both scientific and believable by our sense-experience in order for it to be considered true knowledge?

Well first of all the question as asked is not true in anyway. People believe in all sorts of nonsense, there are literally more people that believe the earth is flat today than 100 years ago.

The question you are trying to ask but couldn't find the right words for, was why do people only tend to belive in things that reinforce their currently existing knowledge and experience.

The answer Is because people are really stupid, like dumber than virtually every other living thing on this planet. You see humans are so stupid that to avoid the little bit of effort, discomfort or mental stamina that it would take to actually process the information available to them and draw a conclusion from it. That they would rather just disagree or only consume information that reinforces their current views and beliefs.

Humans are uniquely the only creature on the planet that is capable of doing this. Fortunately for most of you reading this, there is a small portion of individuals on this planet who are willing to use the gift that we were all born with to think.

Truthfully you could try and blame evolution, thinking requires alot of energy and we have mechanism built in that allow 95% ish of the population to avoid doing it for the majority of their lives. In some cases literally peoples entire lives…

However, I see choosing not to use the greatest gift you have to be stupid, but you welcome to pick for yourself. Assuming that you are capable of thinking of course…
