Can you write something that will shock me to the core?

When the Nazis started Aktion Reinhard, the operation to exterminate all the Polish Jews in the “General Government,” as it was called, they built three camps to do it: Treblinka, Sobibor, and Belzec. Together, these camps murdered about 2 million people in about 18 months.

They’re little known, because there were few survivors. In all three camps, roughly 150 prisoners survived the war, largely because of prisoner uprisings in Treblinka and Sobibor.

Of Belzec, almost everything we know about it comes from two people’s testimony. Out of roughly 600,000 victims. Two. Belzec killed 99.9997% of the people who entered it.

And if not for those two survivors, we wouldn’t even know that Belzec existed.
