What excites you most about learning new skills or gaining knowledge?

Growing up, I watched many cartoons and movies in which the main character goes on a journey, learning different things throughout it and becoming better version of himself.

I was always fascinated by it. It is also the novelty of the unlearned skill that excites me. I like the feeling to go from a complete beginner at a skill to mastery and see the improvement in myself.

Also gaining knowledge in different fields allows me to start and hold a conversation with people of varied interests. Having just an entry level knowledge in any field makes it easier to pick an experts brain for me.
