A2A. Is it a good idea to go for a master's degree with poor knowledge of the undergrad courses (Mechanical engineering, CGPA good, study and career gap, and very bad basic knowledge)?
I do not recommend a terminal MSME degree unless you cannot get a job in ME.
If you have a poor knowledge of undergraduate ME courses, I recommend you get a job and learn what you missed. There are a number of one resources to learn ME; however, it is unclear if ME is the right field. You may want to consider other fields such as computer science or data science.
