How can someone know everything and stop learning?

Over the centuries, we have established structured frameworks for learning, where each stage builds upon prior knowledge and awareness. As we grasp fundamental concepts, we naturally begin to explore various disciplines and specializations.

Once we have chosen a field of knowledge to pursue as a career, the question arises: should we continue to master other realms? The answer is both yes and no. It is crucial to avoid becoming a “jack of all trades, master of none”. Therefore, after achieving professional expertise in our chosen field, we should continue our general education by staying informed about other areas through magazines, newsletters, or other resources. This approach allows us to grow and remain well-rounded without the necessity of mastering every subject.

Moreover, it is enriching to engage with individuals from different fields who can converse knowledgeably about our work. Such interactions foster a broader understanding and appreciation of diverse disciplines.

Now, to cease learning is akin to ceasing to live. Learning is a continuous process that occurs even when we are not actively engaged in formal study. As we navigate our daily lives, we constantly absorb information from our surroundings, such as where to step safely, who is around us, and how to proceed. This instinctual learning is essential for our survival.

It is impossible to stop learning and remain alive simultaneously. Even when we are unconscious, our bodies continue to learn and adapt, ensuring our survival as long as there is energy to sustain us.
