At 23, I want to go into isolation for a while to gather knowledge through books, unfortunately it seems that it is not socially acceptable, why is that?

Not socially acceptable by whom and for what reasons? What’s wrong with doing something you want to do for yourself once in a while? What you do with your life is your business. What makes other peoples’ opinions of what you do with your life their business? You feel it will be a good thing for you and that’s your business. Thing is, you’ll come away being a more interesting and more fulfilled person.
