What are some surprising things you probably didn't know about Dubai?

I never knew that there could thunderstorms, heavy showers and flooded streets in Dubai.

I thought it would be sandstorms and heat waves.

But these pictures surprised me.

Look at the downpour accompanied by lightning and thunder.

The streets are flooded.

Water entered buildings.

Houses were surrounded by water.

And in Saudi Arabia, we normally see camels surrounded by sand, but it is water in these pictures.

Climate change? What do you think?
