How can I learn Japanese for free online?

I’ve found out that few things beat the 0–6 year old experience of being raised in a family that speaks the language. However that’s really hard to get that experience even if you have money. To learn by study is possible but you have to be extremely disciplined. You may have to try something like 15 different programs before you are close to anything like having a command of the language. If you’re an adult the fastest way to get a well rounded language education is to take university classes in it. Sure, you’ll feel dumb a lot but if you try hard you’ll get a decent command of the language in 2–3 years. It won’t be fluent but you could express most daily things in that language.
