How do you keep your day to day writing consistent over a period of time?

I do it by writing every day.

Not every weekday, every day.

Not every day except holidays or when I’m out of the house, every day.

Right now, I’m sitting in an airport terminal in Washington, DC, on my way to Dublin. I worked on a novel whilst on the plane from PDX to DC. I just finished doing some work on another book as I sit in the terminal waiting for my connecting flight, then switched over to Quora, where I found this question. I write every day.
