Is natural talent needed to become a skilled writer, or can anyone be a good writer if they put enough time into it?

Personally, I often believe talent to be more of a result of encouragement and nurturing than a natural ability a person was born with. While I certainly don't deny that talent can be extremely beneficial in the pursuit of a career in writing, for example, it is still nothing compared to will power, discipline, and the desire to learn.

Time is really all you need. Read and write as much as you can, and I guarantee the progress will be clear to follow.
