What is the proper way to begin and end a letter to a Pastor? Can you provide some examples?

Well…if you want to be pretentious and write a letter hiding what you want to say, that's your choice. A pastor is just a man. Nothing more, nothing less. Why would you feel intimidated by him? It could be a guilty conscience towards what he preachers, which I assume is God's Word.

The pastor is not a deity he is not special, so why would you think there has to be a certain way to talk or communicate with him? This can be a problem when parishioners think too highly or place the pastor on a pedestal and in a way…worship him, giving him a godly status in their eyes.

Now, if he is pretentious and makes out he is reverent in some way then I would move churches. We are all in one body and that is the body of Christ. We are all equal in Christ, That is of course if we are born again and not pretending to be Christian with a false facade.

So, how do we start? Let's begin by saying, "Dear pastor..." To end your letter, Bless you, and I look forward to hearing from you.

PS, I didn’t know anyone wrote letters anymore, good for you.
