Can two books share the same title?

I have a funny story about this, actually.

Back when I was originally working on my first novel, titled Playing with Fire, I happened to be in an airport for whatever reason and saw a book by that name.

My immediate response was, “That bitch stole my title!”

Well if course I had to buy the book to see if it was any good.

It was. The author is now one of my favorites. I buy all her books as soon as they come out. And it turns out she's besties with another of my favourite authors!

My book is now available on Amazon.

(Originally I had changed the title to avoid confusion, but I changed it back before publishing when I found yet another book by the same title and figured it just didn't matter.)
