Just for fun. If you could write some affirmations about yourself/life to use as a tool within your therapy, what would they be? Currently writing some for myself, for when I feel very low and lost in distortions…

It’s okay to take it slow.

It’s okay to be gentle and kind to myself. No need to reprimand myself and keep myself on a short leash. I will not suddenly turn into a bad person or lose control.

Remember, thoughts are not facts.

I’m an ordinary person. People don’t look at me and think I’m weird.

It’s possible some people like me for me.

It’s okay to make mistakes.

In times of (perceived) conflict: Stop. No need to panic. The world won’t come crashing down. No need to people-please. Others can manage their own feelings.
