Dude, I have 146 books with traditional publishers and I can’t sell “loads of author copies in a matter of hours.” Except, maybe, at a science fiction convention where I am the guest of honor.

Face the facts: first novels, self-published, generally make between $0 and $500 per year. And generally the number is closer to $0 than to $500. Anthologies sell worse than that.
