How can I start a content writing?

To start with any writing you first need to build a portfolio that showcases your work. Writing is not glamourous and it will take time for start making money from your writing. Some write articles or short stories and submit those to various publications to create their portfolio, others write their own blogs. However you choose to start remember that riches from writing don't happen over night no matter what may websites tell you and depending on who you submit to it can cost more than you'll make at first. Along with your portfolio, you will want to know what it is you want to write about, your niche as they say. To figure that out take a look at what you know. Ask your self some questions. Are you into history? Are you a poet? Are you a nurse? What do you know a lot about? Would you enjoy writing about it? You don't want to get into writing something only find it bores you. Because if it bores you, it'll bore your readers too. I write a history blog featuring local history. I enjoy history. That's where the best work comes from, the things you enjoy. Once you have your niche and portfolio, you can start submitting articles. I can't say this enough beware the websites that tell you you can make thousands writing asap. They will charge you a lot of money and you may see little results that get you nowhere. Your best bet is to research magazines and publishers that publish articles in your niche. You may not get published right away but in time it will happen. You'll want to give up at times and then at other times you just keep popping out content left and right. Beware writers block, too. It can strike at any time especially if you try to pop out too much at one time. Give your self time to finish each article to the best of your ability and don’t give up. I go by a little saying: To preservere one must try try again especially when you fall.
