I struggled with my first year at university. I chose Applied Maths and I found it incredibly difficult, but mainly because I struggled to revise and I was not very motivated to do so. Therefore, I switched.
Although I switched to Business Administration, renowned as perhaps one of the easiest degrees, I have passed all my exams so far with good grades.
However, I have barely studied/revised.
The tactics I have used are Active Recall and Spaced Repetition.
Using Anki (which incorporates both AR and SR), a wonderful flashcard app that you can also download to your computer for free, I have turned my studying abilities around.
Start using Anki and I promise you will not regret it.
