Have you ever been identified or called out by someone out of the blue as a result of your writing on Quora?

Yes, several times.

I’ve been stopped twice in the last year in my local grocery store by people who read me on Quora. I was stopped in a 7-Eleven in SE Portland by someone who said “hey, are you that guy from Quora? I recognize the bunny ears!”

I was stopped on a bus a couple years back by a lovely young woman who also recognized the bunny ears.

And the last time I was in Boston, whilst I was checking in to a hotel, the guy behind the checkin counter was like “This might sound like a weird question, but are you on Quora? Oh my God, you are the Franklin Veaux from Quora!”
