Can you explain the difference between a "scene" and a "setting" in writing?

A scene is a sequence of events involving action/dialog that occurs in a discreet (specific) place for a period of (defined) time for the consideration of a plot element, such as conflict or tension.

Setting is a “physical” place in your story. Setting is the part, the zoo, grandma’s house. It is not a character’s head, a period back in time or forward in time.
