I’ve done a variation on this question a million times so I’ll keep this short. Writing is hard work. Rewriting is even harder work. Accepting you’ll have to rewrite a book at least 10 times to make it readable is also very difficult. You’ll need a story that is bursting to come out of you in order to keep you going through all of that.
