Why is it difficult to read something if it’s not broken into paragraphs?

A second paragraph expands on related facets of the first paragraph. Separating disparate ideas is necessary to follow cohesive threads. If I start talking about football It would have to be a sports analogy that is close in proximity to meanings drawn from the previous few sentences.

Alternatively, if I want to introduce a new subject, I would have to finish up 2 paragraphs that come to a closing of the first paragraph, while also leading you into subsequent paragraphs… which ultimately will lead to sections, then chapters, and finally … a headache.
