What motivates writers to keep on writing even though there are challenges along the way?

I like this question.

I suppose its’ the idea of writing a good story, of creating a world and characters where my ideas can come across, that can tell a compelling story and build a world that I want to live in, that reflects our own and can help showcase important moral dilemmas.

I imagine that maybe someday, my book might be beloved by somebody, that might change their life, that will be something that me and my loved ones can be proud of.

Wouldn’t you like to be remembered that way? As someone who overcame the odds, who fought on and won, despite all odds and left something wonderful as a result?
