What is the sequential process of writing?

You start at the opening scene and write the entire story in sequential, or more actually, chronological order, from beginning to end, with no variances at all.

That’s a fine way of writing, and is common enough, though it tends to be rather boring, as there are few true surprises along the way for readers to enjoy. Instead, as you’re first considering writing a story, you should determine what the best strategy or organizing the chapters are. Many insist on starting with action, to capture the readers attention. Others insist on beginning with a view of the characters life, before the initiating scene, where the protagonist’s life is thrown into utter disarray. Neither is necessarily better than the other, though each has its proponents, among many others as well.
