Can you complete the story "I hate it when … "?

My country, India, is renowned for its diversity and beauty, where people come together regardless of language, religion, place, or culture. However, I am disappointed when individuals participate in candle marches after incidents of rape, thinking that it will bring about change in our society, system, and laws. This is because I have witnessed these efforts fail to yield tangible results. Just recently, I came across news about an 8-month-old infant being raped by an intoxicated individual, and I couldn't help but wonder where the candle marches and unity against rape had disappeared. It seems that our collective memory is short-lived, as these incidents quickly fade away from our consciousness.

Another aspect that I dislike is when people engage in dramatic displays of pride and fight for issues that occurred thousands of years ago. They prioritize their personal honor and ego, often neglecting the wellbeing of others. It saddens me when they abandon those in need, even if they belong to the same caste.

Further, I detest the spread of hatred among individuals. Although I am a mere bystander, I am fully aware that I should not simply watch but take action. Perhaps, deep down, I am waiting for something tragic to happen to me before I find the motivation to act. However, I must remember that responsibility falls upon each individual, and if I refuse to take responsibility, I have no right to expect change from others.

#I Hate It.
