How do you practice if you're interested in becoming a writer?

It really comes down to the fact that you have to write. That’s the fundamental truth if you want to become a writer.

The second part to becoming a writer: you need to read. Read far, read wide. Read the authors that inspire you and those whose style matches your own. Becoming a writer means you will be reading just as much as you are writing.

Personally, I’ve read hundreds of books, only to produce a few myself. That’s the trade off.
