Do not use archaic spellings—it is the 21st (I wish I could forget) century not the 16th Whilst is pretentious, and those who use it imagine that they sound somehow elevated. Really they sound like they should find someone to point out their pretention.
Stop using amongst, amidst, didst, hadst—You are NOT Elizabethan. People who use these locutions most likely do not know what Elizabethan means.
Also “gifting” as a verb in the progressive form or as a participle is pretentious, as is “cleansing.” It is effin’ just GIVE and CLEAN. Americans are such diction goofballs.
