Mr. Beast, known for outlandish YouTube stunts, has turned a corner of the internet into a spring of hope as he constructs 100 wells in the rural parts of Kenya, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Uganda, and Somalia in just 8 Months.
In Kenya alone, he's constructed 52 wells and even a bridge.
He didn't just quench their thirst; he also opened up a world of digital learning by providing schools with computers and projectors.
Some say he did all these for clout, but if fame comes with the promise of fresh water and education for those in need, then it's fame well-earned.
The sad truth is that in large parts of Africa, even something as fundamental as access to clean water has become rocket science, a distant dream waiting for a miracle.
It's a reflection of bad leadership where the needs of the people are overshadowed by self-interest.
It seems that Miracle has come in the guise of a popular YouTuber, Mr. Beast and I join those who stand to benefit from these developments to thank him for his kindness and for putting African leaders to shame.
