Why is emotional intelligence the key skill for success in 2025?

I have always relied on some of the EQ related skills that I feel I am able to handle situation better than many. I was therefore quite successful in dealing with unionists, troublemakers, contractors, bidders, negotiators and unwilling staff members. Yes. The last item was really tough as obstinate horses are difficult to handle. You cannot handle them ordinarily like we have proverbial engagement with bulls (taking them by horns)!

Here are a few points that can help in any year (2025 inclusive):

Dealing with human beings tactfully is easier if managed through psychology.

Dealing with staff members is easier if managed smilingly through rules.

You can bring two fighting sides on negotiating table through diplomacy.

Positive points of two sides, brought forward in discussion, have a great impact.

Having good relations in the past can have good impact in resolving disputes.

Knowing strengths and weaknesses at emotional level can be very beneficial.

Inducing benefits of empathetic feelings are usually very useful in tough times.

Sugar-coating harsh realities without bad intentions is acceptable by many.

EQ, in combination with IQ becomes a very strong force to convince others.

Targeting emotional qualities of the stronger side pays off close to deciding.
