The most attractive trait a person could have is the willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace positive changes, no matter their age or experience.
A few days ago, I visited my mosi's house in Mumbai with my nana and nani for a break. My mosaji, as usual, was doing his own work—getting food from the kitchen, placing dishes in the sink, draining and hanging clothes, helping with chopping vegetables, and even serving us all when my mosi was busy. These are everyday tasks for many, but for my nana, they were new. He had never been used to handling such responsibilities himself.
Yesterday, during dinner, he suddenly showed up with a chapati in his hand, asking if we needed more. My nani and I were shocked—I literally froze mid-bite, my hand paused in the air. He then served himself, came out of the kitchen, and sat with us. I told him I could have served him, but he replied with something that struck me deeply.
He said he had learned this from watching my mosaji, adding that one should always do their own work as long as they are capable. More importantly, he said, we should always be open to learning from others, no matter their age or position.
The most touching part? This morning, he brought me tea—something I never expected. While it feels awkward sometimes to see my grandfather doing this for his grandchild, his newfound sense of self-reliance and willingness to adapt is truly inspiring.
This is what makes someone truly attractive—the humility to learn and the openness to change, no matter where it comes from. It adds beauty to life, enriching both the learner and those around them.
Thankyou :-)
