I think it would be better for everyone because many people finish school without any practical life skills. If life skills were taught, I don’t think the final exams would consider traditional grades, rather, important practical skills that students need in real-world situations, like financial literacy, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. Whereby the exam would include putting students in a simulation of practical world situations for example, a virtual life simulation where they have a monthly income and various financial responsibilities—rent, bills, groceries, entertainment, and unexpected emergencies (car repairs, medical bills).
These days, effective teaching is hampered by several factors including rapid technological change, outdated curriculum, and standardized tests. Students end up concentrating on passing tests and theoretical knowledge. I also have this impression that schools teach students how to be government slaves and how to just “pass the test”.
