What are some effective methods for mastering a skill or talent at a faster pace?

You can’t speed up mastery because you must learn the rules first before breaking them later, which takes time. The learning curve depends on skill, talent, time, experience, handling failures, wins, discipline, focus, etc.

Basic “ingredients” of mastery:

+ Deep understanding of the basics

+ Awareness

+ 100% focus

+ Failures and challenges (part of the process)

+ Discipline

+ Tiny actions (habits) or/and practice

+ Be ruthlessly intolerant of your excuses (keep moving forward)

+ Small wins (elevate confidence)

+ Confidence (that comes from small wins and failures)

+ Success

+ Feedback

+ Unshakable mindset (“no matter what, I can do it”)

+ Visualization (see your future self)

+ 1% improvement a day

+ Get rid of the noise & distractions

= Mastery

Read the best (highest-rated) books about that subject, and read Robert Green's "Mastery" and James Clear's "Atomic Habits."

Learn from the best professionals - Watch videos about your selected skill so you will gain knowledge quickly.

Write down/reread the most essential steps, facts, and information that give you a solid foundation about that subject.

Use the "first principles" technique that breaks down complex ideas into their fundamental components.

If you struggle or get stuck, go back to basics (check step 3)

Learn how to do that skill correctly. Ask for help and feedback. Small incremental steps equal small wins.

Once you have a strong foundation, focus on minor 1% improvements daily.

Be fully aware of what you do (increased awareness).

Journal your experience. What worked, where you struggle, where you need to change, etc.

Visualise your future self over and over again. See the best or higher version of "you" who has already mastered that skill. Feel it, embrace it.

Accept that failure is part of the journey and your success. There is no failure, only tiny steps. Don't judge your actions. It might hold you back.

Focus + action + discipline = small wins + confidence + experience

Small wins + failures + feedback + keep moving forward = Success (whatever it is for you)
