Nonverbal communication skills refer to the ways we convey messages without using words, such as through body language, facial expressions, gestures, and tone of voice. They're crucial because they can enhance or contradict verbal messages, convey emotions, build rapport, and establish trust in both personal and professional interactions.
There's too many reasons why it's very important. Sometimes it's even crucial to fake your body language. I've read that body language is up to 5 times more believable than what you say. I once aced an interview, being the most unqualified, at the time I wasnt confident in speaking English as it's my second language and that was one of the requirements. Also, if you're not in the best of moods, by just keeping your body language positive your mood will change.
