What factors contribute to a person having multiple skills and abilities?

I’m one of these people. I excelled in technical things, architecture, blueprint, reading, orthographic projection, former machinist, former tool and die maker. morphed into the construction trades, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, moved into real estate sales became very proficient at marketing myself, including but not limited to writing and producing my own commercial radio spots, worked my way into live television, cohosting pledge drives for PBS, left brain right brain, creative/analytical and all my skill sets working in concert with one another which I define as the homeostasis of my brain.
