The 5 minute rule.
This is the rule I preach for overcoming procrastination .
The biggest problem with procrastination is you don't know where to start and you end up avoiding the task altogether.
The 5 minute rule states - If you don’t know where to start. Keep all the task aside and give the task that you have been procrastinating since so long full focus for 5 minutes.
No other thoughts. No if’s and but’s.
Start that 5 minutes by telling yourself you can do it and it’s a doable task.
This rule clearly underlines the fact that “Instead of waiting for a perfect start , you should take an imperfect step. Because starting somewhere is way better than not starting at all”
