Number 1: Stop eating out and stop buying snack foods. Learning to cook, even simply meals, can save a lot of money.

Number 2: Didn't have a car loan if at all possible. Car loans are high-interest loans for an asset that depreciates. Save up until you can buy with cash and buy used instead of new. If you don't need a car often get rid of it and use public transportation.

Number 3: Implement numbers 1 and 2.
