What's the coolest thing you've seen someone do completely nonchalantly?

I watched a Bruce Lee movie once with my grandfather and brother. And afterwards we talked a bit about Bruce Lee. Some of his feats. Like how he could do one-handed push-ups and even one-fingered ones. To us kids, that was remarkable — we tried, but couldn’t do them.

“I used to do them all the time when I was younger,” says my grandfather, “one-handed push-ups. I’m pretty sure I could still do them, right now…”

We couldn’t believe it. I must have been fourteen, my brother twelve. But sure enough, he went down on the kitchen floor and proceeded to do several one-handed push-ups without breaking a sweat. Did the “clap your hands in mid-air while doing a push-up” thing, too, for good measure.

It was just super cool. Like we’d grown up with stories of this man literally bending steel with his bare hands. Watching him casually give little demonstrations of strength well into old age was inspiring as hell to us kids.
