How do you build a habit?

There is a Boom or Bust problem with Habits.

Better than “I will go to the gym, every morning at 7” is a flexible KPI “5 workouts per week”.

This way missing one day isn’t a crushing failure. A workout can be a 45 min walk, actually going to a gym or on some days just doing 30 air squats.

A weekly measure is an indicator of progress - a trend of success - unlike a binary habit which every day is boom or bust.

“We cannot manage what we do not measure”

So how are you measuring the change you want? Think of your weekly Life-KPI’s.
